Socialist / Communist Tactics
for Gaining and Maintaining Power

Violent Power Grabs

Most Americans recognize that when possible Socialist / Communists use violence and force in their power grabs.  Some of the more obvious examples are:
The Russian Revolution
Castro's Takeover in Cuba
The Soviet Union's Invasion of Czechoslovakia

Less obvious Socialist / Communist power grabs are:

The UN takeover in Bosnia
The UN takeover in East Timor

A realization that UN takeovers in various parts of the world are actually Socialist takeovers can come only after one understands the nature of Socialist objectives as explained in the above tables and after one recognizes UN objectives as being the same as Socialist / Communist objectives.  For many years I looked upon the United Nations with great respect as a medium for dialog in preserving world peace.  The realization that the UN has a hostile Socialist / Communist agenda was a hard and difficult pill to swallow.  Despite the unpleasantness of this concept, I urge you to carefully give the views in this essay careful consideration.  To ignore such an enemy of freedom and liberty will be fatal.

Patient Gradualism

Besides the use of violence in gaining and maintaining power, Socialist / Communists also have very effective but less obvious ways of gradually changing a society to a Socialist State.  This is typically done by promoting conditions or social practices which undermine domestic tranquility and promote a need for more government control and services.  If we look upon Socialism / Communism as being the ultimate form of Big Government, a simple way of describing this process is:  "Big Government creating a need for itself."

The following is a list of numerous ways in which Big Government Socialism in America has created a need for itself:

When it profits (though taxes as well as direct sales) from alcohol without fully teaching the consequences of alcohol consumption.

When it creates social chaos by promoting a humanist philosophy that rejects moral laws.

When it promotes division among the people while setting itself up as a solution to the problems it creates.  One example is bilingual education and governmental services.

When it controls both the right to work (through extensive licensing laws) while at the same time controlling education.

When it denies citizens the means for self defense and profits from the increased chaos and need for more public law enforcement.

When bureaucrats control elected officials by giving PAC money.

When it prohibits activities that bring stability to society (such as such as religious expression, prayer and scripture reading in schools).

When it legislates against families and offers itself as the alternative to the fundamental unit of society.

The reader will likely find it easy to think of numerous additional ways in which Big Government Socialism in America creates a need for itself.

How true this statement is when we realize that it is in the name of "rights" that we empower the government to do everything from making sure children are fed before school, to making sure prayers are not said in schools, and making sure pornographic material can be shown on TV, in the movies and is sold in stores.  In the name of "rights" and "freedom" Big Government Socialism promotes and shields the very practices which undermine domestic tranquility and create a need for more government services.  Thus we see that American Government has come to prey upon its people.
