The Growth of Socialism in America

The Need to Identify Fundamental Causes of Moral Decline

As a scientist I often deal with systems where more than one factor influence the outcome of a process.  In these, and indeed all cases, it is important to determine what the most significant factors are and concentrate first on underlying fundamental issues.  This same principle applies as we face the complex problem of the decline in morality in America.

Commercial Alcohol Sales
a Fundamental Cause of Moral Decline in America

Approximately 5-6 years ago when I first joined the Prohibition Party I had become convinced that commercial alcohol sales are one of the fundamental causes of the serious decline in morality in America.  Alcohol ruins and corrupts lives.  It destroys families and stands between men and their God.  Alcohol is most useful to the predator who wishes to take homosexual or heterosexual advantage, or who wishes to introduce his victim to hard drugs.  Evidence of the severe social and economic effects from commercial alcohol sales is ponderous and much worth reviewing.  However, the purpose of this essay is to outline what I have become convinced to be a much more serious but related cause of the moral decline in America.

Government Cover-Up of Alcohol Problems

Many of my friends in temperance work shake their heads in wonder at our government's protective attitude toward commercial alcohol sales.  The reader will note that Federal regulation of alcohol sales falls within the jurisdiction of the BATF (Bureau of Alcohol Firearms and Tobacco).  If alcohol were really a food, it would be administered through the Food and Drug Administration.  In such a way the sale of alcoholic beverages and the problems created thereby are sheltered from the light and scrutiny they deserve.  Hidden or obscured are alcohol's effects as a cancer agent, as a cause of birth defects, and as a cause of crime and a host of other health and social problems.  Both the media and the government down play many of the harmful social, economic and health effects of alcohol and focus only upon alcohol being a cause of "accidents".

Another Related Cause of Moral Decline in America

It is my conviction that there is a very deliberate reason why government and the media in America hide the truth about the effects of alcohol on society.  The reason relates to the general abandonment of Constitutional Law in America and America's move to a Socialist / Communist form of government.  Since many Americans have been preoccupied with their affluence, few have been concerned or even aware that America has indeed become a Socialist / Communist country.

Evidence of Socialism / Communism in America

The easiest way for the reader to become convinced that this transition in governmental form has actually occurred, is to compare points from the Communist Manifesto to American Government today. The following is a series of tables which by topic make this comparison.  I might note that the list of parallels in American Society was simply compiled and did not come from any kind of exhaustive effort.  The reader should be quite able to make additions to these lists.
